Hey guys,

Simply question I think ;

If I book a Delta codeshare flight, that's operated by say KLM or Air France (but its booked on a Delta flight number) do I still earn velocity status credits and miles?

Looking at getting credit for some flights for NYC-OSL and I can do it on Delta codeshare flights via either AMS or CDG. Would be traveling in J so looking at 1.5 points per mile. All flights have a DL flight number.

Cheers!

Only DL metal flights will credit i'm afraid.

What about if you booked the Delta codeshare flight operated by Virgin from LAX?

Flights operated by Virgin should be fine. Or regional flights operated under a delta brand (Delta connection or whatever they are called) but Skyteam flights operated by non-VA partners such as KLM or AF are not eligible.

Thanks for the reply 777 - Not the answer I really wanted to hear but I guess it reinforces the problem with VA's "partner alliance" - no European partner!!
