Hey AFF members!

Do you have a specific approach as a couple that you go about attaining status for airlines or hotel groups? e.g. I go for Qantas status whereas Mrs goes for Qatar status (something along the lines of that) so that you don't have all eggs in a basket in the instance if you were to travel separately.

At hotels has to be in one name. Don’t stay enough nights to have top status in 2 programs so we do have 2 different programs though now we are starting to slow down in numbers of flights plus programs enhancements means that we fall back to our lifetime status. QF for Mrsdrron and AA for me.

For OW I’m BAEC Gold and Mrs Jase is QF Gold. We travel together OS but thanks to us using other OW carriers to/from Australia it’s easier for me to get higher status. With the changes to BAEC though I’m going to flip to QR Privilege Platinum and try to maintain that.
All our leisure travel is with VA so we are both Plats but that could change with the new changes and I’ll likely stay Plat or go to the next tier up whilst Mrs Jase probably has Gold.
For hotels we have Accor Diamond and GHA Titanium and both are pretty easy to maintain for the destinations we visit plus Mrs Jase’s work stays
