It's weird...

Sometimes it will approve 80k, a while later when I tried again it says that it will only partially approve 36k (when I tried 80k).

How does it even work lol.

Although 50k is more than enough for me (monthly spend around 15k only), I still want to see what it will approve.. For funđź’©

The more you use it the less it generally approves. All algorithms

More prevalent in the US from my understanding (can trigger account reviews). However never seen this with an AU acc.

I've also heard anecdotes that excessive use of the spending power tool can impact your approvals in the US context, not sure how this applies to cards issued in Australia but assume it would be a data point fed into the algorithm.

For this reason I never use it unless I'm actually planning on making a purchase.

Yeh nothing has ever been reported for AU cards.

Tbh I'd forgotten about it. I did it tonight.

180k approved.
100k approved.
Tried 80k approval, told me I've been partially approved for something nominal like $43,600 lol. It mentions to do with fraud also. I'd say that works for both sides (Amex and the card member)

I got given 17k on the calculator and then when I tried to process my sniip 35k transaction 5 ins later it went through.... so I dont think the calculator is worth the space it takes up.
