How early can I enter domestic Qantas lounge?

That's not Qantas frequent Flyer. It is "Australian Frequent Flyer" - AKA This Forum!

You joined March 30th, so two weeks to go (also four more posts.)
Ah! I see now. That makes so much more sense. Thanks!

Our return flight is not until 22 May so plenty of time for us to think before buying passes.

Just in case - not all terminal transfer buses but only the ones which display Skygate (every half hour)
Noted, thank you all!

You need to be aware that the Qantas email to allow purchase of access is only sent 3 - 5 days prior to your flight, and is dependent on time and expected capacity - so may well not eventuate.

Any other purchase methods are likely to be in contravention of the terms of the lounge pass.
This is what I thought at first but when I log in to my Qantas account and when I go to the paid lounges section, it seems to give me the options to purchase passes! I can see that they're either $58 or 8900 points which is why I came into the conclusion that I can buy passes

If they have it open, then good to go.

That said, at $58pp. the basic QP lounge is not really worth it. If you have checked luggage through, much better value hitting a coffee shop at DFO, or even consider Day Stay & Refresh - Ibis if you are after a shower.

Yep for $116 it is absolutely not worth it.. Expect salads, a toasted sandwich and basic beer and wine.

Airtrain is $55 for two to Eagle Junction if you book online. Spend the remaining $61 at a cafe (Let Minnow is great) and you'll be immensely more satisfied and enjoy a couple hours out of the airport. Can even throw a park walk in while you're there.

Sadly we only have two options, our optiond are:

8 30 am Qantas (1 hour after our international flight is scheduled to arrive, so not enough time)

1 50 pm Jetstar (not keen on this as my last 2 jetstar domestic flights got cancelled and delayed)

2 50 pm Qantas (which is what we're on...7.5 hours)

We were hoping to shower and do some work at the lounge but maybe we should look at DFO!!
Hi Cass,welcome to AFF.
There are showers in both terminals

Showers
Nothing feels as good as that first shower after a long flight. We offer shower facilities in both the Domestic and International Terminals.
  • In the International Terminal you’ll find showers on Level 2 in the arrivals hall, and Level 3 (after security and passport control)
  • In the Domestic Terminal shower facilities are found in the central Terminal area on Level 2, near Gate 36, and in the central Terminal satellite, near Gate 26.
All showering facilities are free of charge; guests will need to bring their own towel and shower products.
You could follow this up with a coffee then browse the DFO once they open.
Not sure how to do some work ,unless you do the day thing at the ibis.
Enjoy Japan!

Will have a look before buying passes. Looks like not a lot on offer and those offered always get snatched up so quickly!
