How long for Etihad flights to credit to VA FF?

I have recently had a couple of Etihad flights but claimed velocity points and status credits. When checking in online you have the option to add your velocity number. Interestingly the legs flown on an Etihad plane arrived directly into my velocity account much quicker than the one leg flown on Virgin Australia!

Bring along your Velocity card and ask the check-in agent to add your frequent flyer number to the booking. In theory the points and SCs should then be automatically credited to your Velocity account, though as you can see from this thread that process is very hit-and-miss. You'll probably end up spending months bouncing emails back and forth anyway, but putting your Velocity number on the booking might grease the wheels a little bit.

Thanks for this Hilius, much appreciated.
