How long should it take to ticket?

I think sometimes things are just jinxed . I had a problem when I needed to add on a sector for an award ticket for Ms FM and her husband, it needed to be reticketed because of this and a few $ extra taken in taxes. I must have phoned 5 times over a period of 8 months. Every time I phoned I got the same story that the card details hadn't been taken correctly for the taxes! I kept on giving them again, waiting for them to ticket and then after a couple of months phoning again. Eventually I pulled the honeymoon card and the phone agent promised to sort it out, so there would be no problems with their honeymoon and that seemed to work .

Well I got an email about my flight coming up soon and they addressed me by middle name. Wonder if that's why it didn't ticket properly initially. Looked online and the booking definitely shows my name correctly. Very weird. Hope this doesn't affect my upgrade chances.
