as you can see, the only substantive difference between the platinum charge card and centurion charge card airline lounge benefits is the complimentary qantas club membership centurions can apply for which is of virtually no value to anyone who travels frequently or purchases a business or first class ticket -- which, i imagine, centurion's "target" clientele typically do.

Only difference i see is the QP membership, all the rest looks the same i think.
I think its easy to judge, if you want the most features for your $$ get the platinum charge, if you have lots of money and don't care about the card cost then get centurion.
For most people even the $400 platinum card cost is not really cheap, but i think you can argue if you travel a reasonable amount its well worth it.

Oh yeah you have a point ! i got a discount. Your 100% correct. It is $900 year normally.

Again if you use priority pass (400), your other free credit card + free flight (400) and a few other things and your sort of ahead.
I know a lot of people that would have 900 yearly fees from all there other cards combined... it all sounds shocking when you think about it ! but also the charge cards they wont make money on interest out of you since the full balance is payable every month.

For anyone who has the Cent, can you tell me if you get free flight upgrades with selected airlines such as Virgin Atlantic. I am planning on going to europe (Italy, Monte Carlo and Ireland) early this year, and this would be the only reason i would get the card if were for the flight upgrades, i read in the book it said upgrades but is this true. Ie i purchase a 3k economy ticket, do i get upgraded to a 10k business class seat?
