Hello,

How long can it take to get the standard Qantas status credits applied to your account?
In all my experience so far it's always applied on the same day, but can it take longer? Are there any Qantas guidelines on this?
I'm planning a status run towards the end of my membership year, would like to book about 2-3 days before the year end date as I'd like the DSCs to go over to the following year (I'm only 90 SCs short of platinum).

Thanks.

The time it takes to receive standard Qantas status credits varies, but in many cases, they are applied on the same day. While there is a general trend of prompt application, there is no specific timeframe mentioned in Qantas guidelines. If you plan a status run close to the end of your membership year, booking 2-3 days before the year-end date may ensure that the earned status credits, including DSCs, carry over to the following year. Keep in mind that the actual processing time may depend on various factors, and it's advisable to check with Qantas for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
SC and QF points are credited based on the scheduled departure time-date.
