I took out the lens I wanted but left my camera body at home so all I have to offer is an iPhone snap

It wasn't that dark, the phone set exposure for the sky.....

Finally made my decision will be flying QF409 SYD - MEL, then JQ 432 then VA544 OOL - SYD after some dinner in Coolangatta. Decided against the return flight already spent enough money and would like to at least do something with the few hours left of the day.

Just received this via email:

Hi Mr file51,

Thank you for flying from Melbourne to the Gold Coast with us on 13 November.

As part of the celebration of Jetstar’s first commercial flight operated by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, it is planned that members of the media will be on board your service.

We want everyone’s flight to be a pleasant experience and so we wanted to notify you that filming may take place during your flight.

Should you have any concerns regarding any aspect of this special inaugural Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight, please contact Jetstar Customer Care at [email protected] for options.

Thank you for your time, we look forward to seeing you on the 13th.
Yours sincerely,

Jetstar Customer Services

Better pack your lippie!

I was thinking about making a statement... my usual hi-vis footwear, but maybe some fishnet stockings, flannel shirt and short shorts...

Now that may just make the news if I actually do make it onboard

I received a call saying that there had been a problem with my booking. The seats I selected (first row of economy), were double booked and wouldn't mind moving to another seat. They moved me towards the rear but on an exit row, refunded the extra I had paid for the seats I selected and sent both of us a voucher for $100..... At least I'm still on the flight . When I received the email about the media, I did wonder if I'd been relocated to suit them ....

That is weird as 5 of the 9 seats in the first row of Economy are still showing as available

Just to refresh my memory and save me digging through this thread, who is doing to direct turn-around back to Melbourne?

I have also been moved but no call or email. I better get a voucher too - pretty annoyed by it too. Probably been bumped for VIPs

Hmm, ought I to give up my window seat for 10G? But then I can't mess around with the new fandangled windows!

My guess is that most of the media, if not all, are going to be seated up front somewhere. Seems almost silly to stick them all at the back...

What say we all don AFF morph suits? :D
