Amazing how your memory is jogged by reading this:

Extras for me :

Malaysia (as recent as Nov 07 so can't work out how I forgot I was there)
Phillipines (1997 and hope to never have to go again, maybe it is a lot cleaner now, but the people are nice)
Switzerland (I loved Lucerne and esp. Mt. Titlus)

Slightly off thread I guess.
We have family from The Philippines - so I'm probably biased but it is a beautiful place out of the cities, not that I've ventured too far out of Manila!
Manila is clean - but like other SE Asian cities has huge poverty sticken areas

Anyway, Am the only one who logs all the places in a diary?
Every flight! including Choppers and 10 seater 10 minute flights in Fiji!!

What a load of rubbish... (though agree the people are nice). Good on you TonyD for sticking up for the Philippines. I especially love Boracay, and Cebu isn't too shabby either.

Kumista - We're heading back this year, hoping to go to Boracay and/or Palawan!
BTW - no offense taken by Tas.77's comments. :)
Dont know what Phil. was like 10 years ago but I reckon Manila in 06 was cleaner than Bali in the mid 90's. Unfortunatley still too much poverty = slums, only have BKK and Jakarta to compare. What is absolutely amazing is seeing beautiful happy PROUD people/kids wearing crisp white shirts - walking out of slums to go to school and work etc.

Cheers!!

Added Korea earlier this year, hope to crack a ton before I'm 40. Also forgeot I'd been to Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Isreal as a kid. 77 I think.
