That's it. I want my wallet as thin as possible and despise carrying cards. I have a back up card holder with everything else. I don't need to carry my Medicare, BUPA or travel/loyalty cards with me all the time. If I need them I'll grab them before leaving the house.
I would be very happy if I had 1 card which was my DL, AMEX & MC all in1.
My wallet fits as many cards as I feel I need. At the moment it is 16
1 x Drivers licence
1 x Laminated passport page
1 x Qantas membership card
1 x Amex
1 x 28 Degress Mastercard
1 x Medicare card
1 x Private health card
1 x Golflink card
1 x Golf club membership card
1 x RSL membership card
1 x Leagues club membership
1 x Coles gift card
1 x Wish card
1 x RSL Social Golf club fixture card
1 x Social Golf Club membership card (Thailand)
1 x Religious icon for protection
I have my credit cards (MasterCard for when the Amex isn't accepted), QF and VA cards, driver's licence, Fly Buys, Woolworths EDRC and Entertainment Cards. The Medicare card stays at home, I don't count on (really hope I won't be!) needing it except for planned appointments. Same with other library, travel and hotel hotel cards - I don't need them every day so they only come out when I'm going on a trip, and usually the membership numbers are entered into my booking anyway so they won't see the light of day regardless.
To the rule of leaving cards at home unless I'm actually flying somewhere I make an exception for the QF and VA cards because if I'm in an accident, the paramedics should KWIA!
