How often is your card compromised by fraudsters?

Probably once every two years. Most recent last year in October after a trip to the US. Got a 5.30am sms from my bank asking them to contact me, two days after my arrival home.
A quick look at online banking, and I jumped on the phone. Three txns totalling over $13,000 made at the same location in New York. I did not go to New York FYI, I was in FA, CA, TX.

The bank rep said to me that they new I was back in Melbourne as they noted my duty free purchase in Melbourne, airport parking and fuel. Nothing then until those whopper transactions. Kind of stands out.

Within 8 days, new cards issued, all charges and fees reversed, the only inconvenience was changing direct debits over. Thankfully I was not going anywhere on my return, but I guess one of my lesser preferred cards would have had a work out.

I can say on this one, good work Westpac.

No, as multiple cards in the one wallet makes them impossible to read anyway.

How topical. My WW EDR Mastercard was compromised overnight.
US$4 online 'test' transaction, followed immediately by a large purchase from a French electronics retailer. WW Money/HSBC blocked the transactions and SMS'd me immediately, and when I called them after I woke up they cancelled the card.

Luckily I have a bonus points offer this month on another CC so I don't need this one this week at least!

Electronically compromised once, physically stolen (they broke into our house when we were on holidays) once. In both cases the banks rang me within 12 hours and were very good about cancelling acounts etc.

Every 6 months or so with personal and business Mastercard's.

Never with our business AMEX.

Never with our personal Visa.

EDR MasterCard did something right for once. Card cancelled Friday. New card arrived this morning (so it must have been printed Friday or Monday depending on where it was sent from).
Now, to follow up all the missing points from Qantas double points and the WW double points offer!

Had an odd taxi charge on the work Amex once. Got refunded. Fortunately never had any on my personal cards and hopefully stays that way.

My Visa/Amex combo card gets compromised about once per annum. The most recent was just last weekend. A unknown small cents 'tester' transaction overnight was enough for Westpac to immediately stop authorisations. After a telephone consult with them and I didn't recognise the merchant, cards were cancelled and new card numbers being issued.

Biggest issue really is that now I can't see the years of online statements from the cancelled cards.

BankWest QF Plat got compromised recently, in strange circumstances.

Got the fraud suspected email over a 98c GroupOn transaction. Called to say it wasn't me, card cancelled, new one supposedly being sent - still waiting since I'm in China ATM. Then logged on to online banking and discovered $1k+ of fraud in the days before the GroupOn tester - my file said I was in China yet they seemingly didn't see a red flag with big transactions from Harvey Norman online, Sydney furniture stores, and some electronics retailer in Gibraltar. Weird.
