I want to sign my 6 month old son to Qantas Frequent Flyer. However I want to see if there is a loophole whereby I can avoid paying the $89 joining fee?

Me and my wife are both members (but of bronze status)

Should have signed the young fella up for the ANZ black FF card and got him 75k points at the same time....assuming he could spend $2500 on toys in the first 3 months

I recently signed up my mother and brother as they have come to visit us from the UK.
You can join QFF for free if you have an overseas address (interestingly even as a UK citizen whereas BA Exec Club won't let you join them from Oz)

Didn't that end when QF and BA terminated the JSA? You can select Australia from the Executive Club signup form now.

Facepalmbetter. Too quick on the trigger. But it does prove the point that complimentary membership has been around for quite some years

And that in 2013 paid membership was $82.50 (if anybody paid)!

Doh. Here was me (the IT Staffer) assuming that cause you could actually put in all the AU details, that it'd let you submit it. Terrible (both of me to assume and for them to not do it right). You are, of course, right ;)

Has anyone paid for the honour NAY privilege of QFF membership? It boggles the mind.

Yes, for SWMBO and mini serfty ... Back in the 90's both QF and AN had joiming fees ... (GST free of course).

Mine was "complimentsry" with my QP membership.

All of my family including myself paid for QFF membership.
