I want to take the following flights: Melb to London mid April 2013 returning Paris to Melb early May 2013.
I have plenty of Qantas FF points & would like to use some (happy to spend approx 200,000 pts) for something better than economy at least for part of the way (preferable on the return journey or the long legs either way).
I'm looking for comfort (PE or business) at a reasonable cost/point.
I am having trouble finding awards options that satisfy the above. I've tried everything I can think of and the best result seems to return approx 1.5c per point ie $850 & 203,000 pts for Melb-London in economy & Paris – Melb in business.
I would appreciate all bright ideas for a better outcome – or have I set unreasonable expectations?
Also, is it likely that other options will appear when (if) Emirates deal is in place?
