How to fix Qantas classic reward after partner airline schedule change

There is a 1300 number that goes straight to the premium call centre in HBA. I did have that number but it changes very regularly so don't have it now. I keep trying in vain all the QF 1300 numbers I come across but no luck lately.
I am a mere NB, and my wife is WP. The phone numbers on the back of our respective FF cards are different, and I always thought that if you dialed into Hobart, once you entered your FF number and password, your status would let you thru, whilst an NB would end up elsewhere. The number on the back of my card is 13 11 31.

Think OP is referring to the secret airport help desk numbers that are given out by airport staff

Must be...
I’ll be at MEL on 27 July and am tempting to claim iropps on a partner flight to a Qantas agent just to get that number and post on AFF!!

I wonder what the apparent delay is in the issue of tickets?
Complicated bookings involving other airlines requiring manual intervention?
There is no clear answer IMHO

Rather than that, some might have the view (including me) that it may be better to keep it off-forum and release to interested parties via direct message?
Defiantly! They do know what number you called on and how many times you have called about a certain issue. Some operators don’t take kindly to ppl calling on the "airport line" if they aren’t at the airport others don’t seem to care and are happy to help. In my experience don’t call first thing in the morning and be aware about calling at times when a lot of cancelations are happening.

I haven't used QFF points to book on a partner airline previously. I assume the issues described above are typical if changes are required. I'm an Aust resident looking to book a one way fare CGD (Paris) to PER (Perth) via Doha on Qatar. Because the flight originates in Paris, the QF website takes me to the QF France website. Is there anything the novice should be aware of when booking vis the QF France website - booking conditions etc which may be problematic? Any help appreciated.

I think they have now either changed all the airport line numbers completely or changed the system to access the airport line. Out of the 14 1300 numbers I have access to none have worked for several weeks which is unusual one of them usually works.

Welcome to AFF @bevalorschvegas :)

Apologies for the late reply.

That should be fine to book. You will pay taxes/charges in Euros so maybe foreign transaction fee depending on payment method. As it's not booked direct with QR you may have issues should changes be required as you have to communicate with QF. When purchasing the ticket make sure that you receive an actual eticket starting with 081 within 24hrs, if not call QF. Many use Checkmytrip to see ticket numbers & track any changes.

On the positive side QR seems to be one of the more stable airlines as far as minimal changes & you would be covered by EU261 compensation regulations.

For anyone still following along at home, I settled my VCAT claim in exchange for two $1,500 Qantas vouchers (one for each pax)

Qantas offered this shortly after the deadline for its defence, which it had not filed
Nice! Out of curiousity, did they issue the e-tickets in the end? I reckon the vouchers were given as copmensation?

Yes, sorry, I should make clear

We got etickets for alternative reward flights and flew them without incident

I made a claim for “general damages” for “distress and inconvenience” in having to deal with their incompetent call centres for weeks on end

They started with a low ball of 10,000 QFF points
I tried for cash payment
Ultimately I accepted the vouchers instead of monetary compensation for my damages claim
