My VA bookings used to load into passbook all by themselves but stopped some time ago. How do I get it to do so again?
ISTR that apple in thier wisdom mandate as of about a year ago that apps need to have a manaul function to download rather than have it automatic.
It caused some problems for this BA PAX earlier this year: Missed flight due to BA App crashing - FlyerTalk Forums

i've used it when I've been running late and checked in via phone. received sms with link to file that opened boarding pass in passbook.
OK, so how do you get an SMS? I never get them but my mobile is listed with VA........hang on, I never check in before getting to the airport. Is that the secret?
Err, can you dumb it down a little? What's the "non-flash" version? I genuinely thought all the VA web site was pretty "non-flash"!Use the non flash version on the web/ mobile ...
I was having some issues with this last week too...
Once you get the SMS with link, The usual 'add to passbook' pop up should appear.
If it doesn't (as it didn't for me) I just reopened the link a few times/reloaded the page and it popped up as normal.. Hopefully if you keep at it, should work eventually.
Through memory when doing online checkin it gives you an option to select mobile notification at the bottom of the page. Ensure you put your mobile number in and you get the SMS on completion of OLCI.I'm still a bit stumped by how to get the SMS. Do you check-in via mobile device to get that?
Use the non flash version on the web/ mobile ... you are given a email / sms option there....... you then get a sms with a link ... the link displays the BP , and then it comes up asking if you want to add to passbook, OK then its done

Check in on the iPhone Flight Specials app (it's coughpy but it works)
