I've booked via SQ NTL-MEL-SIN-MAN and back. I have an SQ PNR and can select seats via the Singapore Airlines website, but can't use the same PNR to access my booking to select seats on the VA website for the VA operated segments. Does anyone know a way around this? Also, when it comes to online check in will that be feasible via the VA or SQ website?

Assume you booked on Singapore Airlines website?

When you received your booking confirmation / e-ticket, the PDF should list the PNR for VA.

This is common practice across all airlines which don't use the same booking platform.

Yep, thats what I expected. But unfortunately nothing on this occasion. It may need a call, but I wondered whether there might any other websites that can be used to open the PNR and get more information.

If not on the PNR, then you need to call Singapore Airlines.

It's easily missed when looking for it unfortunately as it doesn't always stand out.

You will need to call SQ to get the VA PNR reference and you can then select seats in the VA app (but not the website).
