According to AFF stats, the op has been back on the board as late as 7:41pm this evening and there were 9 posts in total on the thread before that and the op hasn't seen fit to respond.

I think juddles is possibly right and there is a low likelihood of a further enlightening of the situation.

I don't have the techno savvy to know when someone has been on the forum. But what I would like to offer to the OP (to Sham Raz, in case you do not understand OP = original poster):

I am a supporter of Qantas, but I also fight against anything they do that is not kosher. Some people come here seeking illegal advice as to how to beat the Qantas procedures and rules. Which is not something we encourage here. That is why a post such as yours raises some sort of hesitation. If you really had your account frozen for reasons you do not understand, I am happy to devote some time to trying to help you unravel this. I can talk to Qantas. If you feel more comfortable sending me a private message via the forum, I will talk to you and try to help you. Strictly in confidence.

No, the OP has said that Qantas is "not reverting". Whatever that means.

In a previous position I had several Indian IT contractors.

In their parlance, if you send an email to someone and ask for a response and they do not email you back - they are "not reverting".

I was wondering where that particular use of language came from - makes sense.

As some of us do, we read a few scant lines and try to read between those. As always in this sort of case, the usual culprit is people who have done dodgy things with transferring points. IE selling them. I had for a moment wondered if this was someone who had severely strained the Qantas Wine bonus points promos, but now I am extrapolating that it is in fact yet another case of points sales.

Qantas would be buggerred with their definitions of "family" in Chile - over there everyone is my uncle or auntie

Small claims court (i.e. NCAT/VCAT etc) can only order the payment of damages. An order for QF to restore your account and credit points requires a mandatory injunction so you would most likely need to look at issuing proceedings in a Magistrate's Court or County / District Court instead which do have the jurisdiction to make such orders.

I have over 200k points which were earned through tens of thousands of dollars worth of spend.

Would this imply over $100K in spend to get over 200K in points? That would take a lot of dedication to collecting points and be a person with some interest in the QFF Program. I sense we were not given all the facts. And the OP has disappeared...

Perhaps. But the facts aren’t really important? The OP didn’t ask for advice on whether the points were seized legitimately, or otherwise. They wanted advice on how to get communication, and a resolution, from QF.

They could either go for a dollar amount, or as Isochronous suggested, if they want the points reinstated, go down that path.

I'm always disappointed in these types of threads when many only come on to criticise the OP, or cast doubt on their motives, and/or integrity. This seems to be a reflex action now, for some.

Often the OP is a newbie (as in this case), just asking for help, and I don't wonder that they sometimes don't come back when confronted with the number of posts having a direct go at them, rather than the issue raised. Like I've said before, give newbies a bit of latitude, eh? Especially if their join date is the same date as their first post.

Like I said ... if they have dis-engaged from AFF, can you blame them? They come onto a forum, seeking help and a number of 'regulars' just post to have a go at them. Welcome to AFF! - not.

Not everyone is obsessive about checking up on AFF as, well, I am; maybe they are just living a normal life? I recall a very similar first post, with similar content a while back. The usuals got stuck in, demanding more information, implying the OP wasn't genuine, or was hiding something, yada yada. Then came the comments just like yours ... oh, they's gone, obviously were hiding something etc etc ...

Then the Op in that thread did pop up a few days later, completed the thread and is now a semi-regular.

If the OP was genuinely after some advice then they:

1) Would have posted much more detail in their original post
2) Read and responded to posts in this thread by now.

Not common in Australia at all. Grammatically incorrect. Usage should be avoided. Common in the US in my experience.

I haven't claimed that the OP is trolling, but I have stated that I think this is a wind up. There's definitely more to this than the OP has been prepared to let on. Accounts aren't just closed for no reason at all. Customers genuine enquiries to Qantas aren't continually ignored. And where is the evidence that the account has indeed been closed? I find it difficult to accept that Qantas would close your account without telling you. Missed email somewhere OP? From what the OP has stated so far, this could simply be a matter that they have entered their PIN incorrectly and the account may be temporarily limited.

If the OP really isn't trolling then they'll need to engage with the thread. Otherwise they wont get much assistance. I wont waste any more time here unless the OP can genuinely engage with the thread they have started.
