How To Search For oneworld Award Availability

SYD/MEL-DOH-CDG F. No confirmed date but was wanting to learn how to search and watch availability as I just bought a bunch of AA miles and I'd like to use them to fly F. I bought an EF subscription but couldn't even see QR from the dropdown box:(

I'm happy to do the searching rather than people do it for me but I'm just missing a functional search tool!

KVS Tool has 100% OneWorld Award Availability coverage:

On the first random date I plugged into BA for SYD-CDG I had a hit with 2 x F seats on QR with either a short or long connection.

Are you still having issues with the BA site? When searching for awards on BA I use this bookmark.

I just registered using a fictitious UK address. Have played around a bit now but only manage to come up with BA flights. How do you come up with partner airline availability?

Partner airline award availability should show up without any further steps required.

For example, try searching for availability on an Australian domestic route. That should be no problem. Try other routes not operated by BA but with known plenty of availability (e.g. CX regional), or even try searching for Y availability on any route.

If you don't see any partner airline availability displayed, it may be that there is no space available on that day for that route, or that no other partner airline operates that route (on that day).

Cheers I need to look into this, I did go through the AFF session but admittedly got tired and didn't complete the last couple of modules on KVS and award nexus or something. I'll go back and do this when I've got more downtime.

Quick question for you guys (this thread seems to be the only one active):

I've been using Lifemiles for quite some time for flights to Europe, but something has recently come up and we need to book a flight pretty soon. We don't want to risk LM not having a special so are considering the the latest offer from AA (luckily I setup an account with them quite some time ago, so can take advantage, I just hope multiple tickets can be booked from a single account).

From what I can understand, Melbourne > Europe would be 85,000 points. With the buy 100,000 and get 50,000 free offer, and converting to AUD, this seems to be around $2,211.91 AUD for a J flight. Does that sound about right? Is there anything I should know before I decide to go ahead, or is it pretty simple booking flights etc? Flight will be from Melbourne to Istanbul, Athens or Rome, to depart early February. Oneworld has Qantas+Qatar flying to some of those destinations.

You can only see QF and BA availability online.

If you can't find availability for those, ring up AA and put a booking on hold, before buying miles. Holds are free, and may only last 2 days or 5 days, depending on how long in advance you do them.

Anything using BA will have slightly higher taxes.

If you don't have AA status, there is a surcharge for awards that are booked less than 21 days in advance.

Oh, and be careful that all your sectors are in premium cabins.

You can also try availability on Etihad, but generally it has to be booked as two separate awards.

Check this thread in the AA forums, since US DM has been merged into AAdvantage.
