I seem to get a notification from the Qantas App that I can earn points by riding to the airport with Uber before every Qantas flight. These notifications come through even if my phone is on flight mode and I'm sleeping, which is so irritating.

Does anyone know how to just switch off these notifications, but still get other (more important) notifications from the Qantas App?

Also, “Sleep“ or “Do not disturb” Focus is your friend if you have an iPhone (Android probably has similar). Only alerts and calls you allow should make a sound when that particular “Focus” is active.

It used to be just “Do not disturb” mode but now you can program different ones.

Working for a multi-national company, I got sick of the phone ringing at 3am from timezone challenged Frenchmen…. Only specific people or repeat calls make the phone ring now.

I actually haven’t reviewed my settings there for years but it looks like I can turn on specific apps now. So if I’m travelling and there’s a risk of a schedule change or something - I could turn on that specific app and not miss out.

I feel your pain - I used to work for Société Générale in Sydney. The New Yorkers were worse. And that was before programmable phones ....

Thanks for that. Always irritated me. Another irritation in the QF app is the default departure city in the Book function is set to SYD instead of my home city of MEL. I couldn't see anything in Settings. Anyone know how to adjust it?
