I have some whY work trips comming up in Aug/Sept and i was wondering if anybody has any good ideas for the best way to ticket this, ie an good fares etc i could use....

17-19/8 SIN-SGN
23-24/8 SGN-SIN
(Lets assume i just fly SQ on this like usual)

29-31/8 SIN-NRT
5-7/9 NRT-SIN

10/9 SIN-HKG
13/9 HKG-STR via FRA/LHR
20/9 STR-TPE via FRA & HKG ?
26-28/9 TPE-SIN
Can do TPE-PVG also.... Maybe TPE-HKG-PVG.... then PVG-SIN
29/9 SIN-PVG
4/12/10 PVG-SIN

Am just going to throw it at the travel agent as it is and see what they come up with but thought some may have some good ideas.

OW is big preference, HKG-LHR/FRA is prefered QF if upgrades may be possible. (others will be traveling SQ/LH but i prefer the QF/BA/CX/KA options if i can)

Excluding the SGN and NRT trips since i think they are simple to ticket as seperate tickets the best i have come up with so far is....

SIN-HKG (CX)
HKG-LHR-STR (QF-BA)
STR-LHR-HKG (BA-QF)
[seperate fare, HKG-TPE & TPE-HKG on CX]
HKG-SIN (CX)

The primary fare being $2700 and the seperate CX fare being around $700
Seems pretty reasonable to me and makes my goal of QF and generally OW flights, also if TPE changes of moves (the others are fixed) then can just cancel and issue as SIN-TPE-SIN later.

Anyway thought i would throw the question out here since i know so many people come up with wonderful routeing using xONEx's etc and know all you guys are as crazy as me in taking the in-direct route :)

Could take advantage of the itsy bitsy ex-SGN MH premium fares when you're there. Doesn't quite fit the OW criteria but am sure you've got some surplus flying after re/qualifying for status to take advantage of what are some truly Great Deals on a quality airline. Perhaps squeeze in a trip home or a holiday to Europe between the SGN trip and the others? :)

Assuming you have an Aussie passport and a OneWorld entry into Asia in recent times, could you qualify to use the OneWorld Visit Asia fares for the Asia destinations? I have not researched all the conditions.

Hi guys,

Both good ideas :)
I only prefer OW since i get al the benifits and its work flying whY :( but if the cost is little then i can justify some premium cabins so will check out that option.

I do have a OW entry into Asis, and will have another literally 2 days before my first flights (MEL-HKG-SIN-MEL) and can book from country of origin (ie Australia), and all flights will be within that already booked international ticket times !

NM, that sounds like to me it would suit my requirements perfectly and only need to then get HKG-LHR-STR-LHR-HKG flight booked seperatly, will have to compare it all and see how it works out.
