I just recieved an invite to the above with one of the bullet points being;

"Platinum Airport Services. This new service makes travelling easy by helping you with all your departure needs, and greeting you when you arrive at your destination."

I was planning on calling them to ask specifically what they offered, but thought I should ask here first, forewarned is forearmed.

Matt
PS, was planning on doing what I do with all the other offers, bin it. (then close the card in an effort to reduce it back to 1 card)

Looks like it's the standard meet and greet service offerred by Visa Platinum. The service will still cost you and is limited to a small number of airports.

I can't link, but all the details can be found at visaplatinum dot com dot au slash Airport.aspx

And hello from a long time lurker, first time poster!

You're welcome. And it's not that I didn't want to register at all, just that I didn't want to register at the moment the forum decided to force me to register before I could read on!

Look forward to contributing a little more in the future... and now, back to the topic ;)

They are being very cagey as to the cost!!
How much will it cost? How is it booked?
Prices are in US$ and are fully inclusive, and there are no extra fees or tips payable.
The exact price will be quoted and fixed when the service is booked.

I go this offer last month while I was in hospital but the offer did not appeal to me in anyway.

Ta, there was a number of other 'benefits' on the list but not worth remembering.

Other than the fast track through customs there is nothing else a reasonable hotel wouldn't organise anyway and no USA airports on the list.

In the bin it goes.

Ive had HSBC plats for years. Closing the account now and moving to something with a QFF attached. Just does not give the benefits of other cards.

As far as I can tell, not in Australia, where they’re poorly run, but in other cities, HK, NZ, they’re really good with service.

yeah i know. i worked in mongolia and china for many years and was with them then. hence coming over to them here. pity, the service was great in Beijing.
