Hunter Valley Wine Tasting (Sat 20th Feb 2016)

October to April is our "concert" season. So if you are looking at staying just the Saturday night.......PLEASE book your accommodation now. (or refundable if you are not certain of your attendance yet)
Once a concert is announced for that date, there will be nothing available for a 1 night stay or any "redemption" bookings.

As our wine tour is on the Saturday, the opportunity to attend the concert is always an option if the performer and ticket price is too your liking.
I will post here if/when a concert is announced.

Ideally you would be looking for a Friday/Saturday night stay, allowing a lazy Sunday morning before heading home Sunday evening. (or perhaps back to my farm for a Sunday BBQ...)

Nothing set in stone yet except the date (and the Wineries to be visited - will be revealed later). If there is a contingent staying in Newcastle then we could definitely organise transport to and from the CBD for that group.

I'm interested and even more so if there is transport from Newcastle - 20 Feb is my birthday :)

Disappointingly, Cairns is starting to look too difficult as I only arrive back from Japan on 14 October.

I was thinking about flying to NTL on Friday and leave Saturday after the tour finish but staying in the Hunter means hiring a car and driving back after a day of wine tasting is not a good idea, nor is it legal ;)

Yes that's definitely an issue.

You don't swallow do you?

So the suggestion would be to fly to SYD or NTL, self drive to the CP, and stay Friday and Saturday nights, with a tour on Saturday DAY? Then drive back to airport late Sunday (after the hangover).

sounds like you have done that before :p

Nice idea, am interested. This would traditionally be a strong candidate for the date for FT AGM but there was talk a while back of maybe shifting it a bit.

Princess Fiona has already cleared the date with FT & moderators, the decision to attend is now yours.

Already mentioned to Mrs QF WP, who loves the idea. Colour us Gold x 2. Nice dates :D (so a certain FT event will be held in March 2016 ;))

Accom has been booked for the CP Hunter Valley - Friday and Saturday nights (Friday paid and Saturday is an Award). Now to research VA fares BNE/NTL x 2

Just saw the new/confirmed link

Colour me confirmed (think that's platinum), room booked at the Crown Plaza for Friday and Saturday nights, 2 people please

Thanks to the organisers... :)

We will have 24 places all up available for the tour.

EDITED due to me forgetting that the coach driver needs a seat :D
(thanks to Jojen for the reminder !)

I am interested weather permitting... That CP seems a little expensive though. $700 for 2 nights in a CP?
