Hmm, need to requalify, and I'm on double credits, so need 115 more.

Was meant to go to New York in a few days, but I've canned that. That was 120 points (240 double) for $908. $3.78 per SC? :)

I will get that $908 in credit, since it's a non refundable fare.

Wonder where routes I can take hmmm ..

You have two months. And you need 60 SC's (x2 = 120)

Note that to use the credit online you can only book one-way or return, can't use the multi-tool.

A flexi fare SYD/ADL return will earn those 60 (120) SC's.

Can be had for $730, but you need to spend more than $908 so maybe select a via MEL option.

I have a feeling he needs at least 230 SC's, but by getting 115 this would achieve it due to the double SC promo ...

Yep 230 more. I flew 30 times last year but most were award flights, or non QF ones ...

115 SC is a tough gig for slightly more than $908 without leaving Australia.

Maybe SYD-CBR in discount J?
Seems to be around ~$325 each way for 40SCs.

Either do three flights in J (for $975) and 120SCs (and a red e-deal back)
-or-
Do two one-way flights in J and two Flexisaver flights (2 x $325 + 2 x $225 = $1100 ) for a total of 120SCs.

This might be a better option if just flying for SCs, as you can get a Sat morning J flight down to CBR and you have your choice of flexisaver tickets back. Repeat the flight the next weekend.

Edit: fixed prices

Or do it all on one day :) May just get to know the staff well, always funny when they see things like that.
Hard to believe but OS is sometimes a better deal, i have been checking fare rules to see what extra flights i can manage on my next OS trip.

There are limited flights to CBR that offer J at discount pricing, so hard to do two returns in one day. Also, due to the risk of fog (and subsequent delays) make flying up and back a little risky.

I managed to find 8 flights in 2 days earning me 100SC for just shy of $400 the last time there was a big sale on. Of course, the flights weren't in the period needed to fly in right now, but it is possible.

I'm feeling a bit lazy right now so wont have a look around for you, but I'd suggest finding something fun you could do at the normal prices, but then waiting to see if a sale comes along and hoping you can get something far cheaper/earn far more.

My neighbour is a flight attendant and is on my routes alot!! I still haven't bumped into her :)

I used to know the staff quite well on SYD-CBR as I did that route twice weekly for 6 months!

The problem with such a credit is that to use it online it must be for a one-way or round-trip. The Multi option can't be used.

It must be completed in the one transaction and the cost must be equal or higher than the original fare ($908).

You may be able to book a multi segment by calling - this will incur a fee.

You can't use it for say $700 and have a $208 credit can you?

I guess I lose $50 anyway for reusing the credit.

Qantas NZ is on sale until 9 June 09, when it gets replaced with Jetstar on 10 June 09.

AKL-WLG and CHC-ZQN is 45 NZD.
AKL-CHC and CHC-ROT is 55 NZD.
AKL-ZQN is 95 NZD.

HI Wellington and CP Christchurch are both on the Priority Club Point Breaks lists...

Pity not more flights each day for turn arounds since not all are $45 on just about every day i checked, thats still not bad mileage run material :)

No you can't - it must be the one booking made online.

As well as the aforementioned service fee. (Another $50 I think.)

You might want to look at some short distance J fares, e.g. SYD-ADL via MEL.

In all honesty, I think the only way your going to rack up those 115 SC, at least domestic, is to pay a few hundred more. e.g. SYD-ADL rt in J costs ~1400 and will earn 120 SC's.

Getting the 115 SC is easy and for a lot less than $1400. (SYD-CBR J rtn and CBR-(SYD)-ADL rtn = 130 SC for about $800-$900) The hard bit seems to to doing so using the credit. Maybe it is worth paying the extra to call up and get a multi-city booking.

Otherwise, there is a long weekend in June, do a SYD-LAX rtn on an immediate turn around - :shrug Assuming you can still get a fare in the right price range.

I am now going to New York, and it looks like they kept my status until July 2010 anyway!!!

If I do a SYD-CBR-ADL-CBR-SYD in J and SYD-MEL in Y, I'll move up to SG ! on double credits.

Hmm :p
