[I need] Qantas Points - Fast

Need 1000 points before the end of this month.

I am sitting 905 points short of the 350k points for Points Club Plus requirement with 12 days to go. I thought I had it in the bag when sitting on 344k points and knowing I had 8k spend on my credit card sweeping around now. Unfortunately, a few refunds from hotels and taxes from flights has dropped my credit card balance just when the monthly statement balance swept through leaving me 905 points short.

So, I think my options are:
  1. Red Planet surveys that post overnight. Unlikely to get 1000 within the end of the month - possible a few but not enough.
  2. Terry White. I've received the 1k points for sign up, but have not done the 1k for spending $30. Plan on doing that tomorrow but terms say 45 days credit. A read of the thread shows mixed results on time to post.
  3. Purchase QFF points. 1000 points is $56. That seems instantaneous.
  4. Credit card spent won't work as won't be swept through until next month.
  5. Qantas Wine. I'm not really into those wines that qualify for 7 to 10k for a case and not sure how long it would take to post anyhow.
  6. Wellbeing rewards. Only get breadcrumbs which won't be enough.
  7. Sign up to Red Energy or QFF Health Insurance. Not really interested in either.

Anybody have any other ideas or insights onto fast posting of the above options. The Points Club Plus probably won't be really of much value in the next 12 months TBH so don't want to go out of my way too much. I'm thinking the Terry White would be the best bet followed by the purchase of points but even $56 to buy a measly points I'm not convinced is worth the benefit.

Cheers
Maybe buy up big at Woolworths? Petrol at BP?

Qantas wine is the best bet since it can be upto 15k points and points r immediate to ur acct.. other options r do u have amex card that can to qantas and other is insurance but it gives 800 immediately bit balance 2 months after If there is no claim😂

just a data point on wine. I purchased wine evening of April 19 (Sunday).. points were in account next morning. Wine? Yeah well... I'll drink to that when it arrives :)

Yeah, but I feel a little bit awkward giving away opened bottles with a few swigs missing :p ... got to find out whether I like it or not.
I feel I am massively off-topic at this stage, but sounds like you need a Coravin... they'll never know (depending on how much you swig).

Do a foreign currency purchase on Qantas Travel Money.
In my case, QTMC points appear about the 5 or 6 or 7 or 8 of the month after the total of the previous month.
Too late for the OP.
WWR also post a bit after the next month.
You can't present your QTMC or any QF credit card for the QFF points collection, at BP, it takes till a bit into the next month, also too late for the OP.
Not like the old VGW way of collecting bonus points at BP of the past.
As mentioned above, maybe Kayo or QFF wine, I have not done these 2, so can't say how fast they post the QFF points.
Flying would be best, but as we know, non domestic essential flying not allowed.

I did a $30 (well $33) purchase at Terry White on Tuesday. No points arrived yet. No Red Planet surveys to get me through, so may have to go the wines or push some people to get the Wellbeing I think.

(I already have Kayo)

Trouble with TerryWhite Chemart, is that they have 2 systems to collecting QFF points.
1).where you buy things with them and collect TW points, these are higher, I think 3 TW points per $1 spent, then these can be transferred to QFF later on.
2).where you buy things from them, and then you earn QFF points, 2 points per $1 earnt.
You need to check and see which one you are in, within the TW website.
Hint: (grin), login name into TW points website, is not your email address, its your username you picked when you joined TW rewards online.
Learnt that the hard way!

The Rewards points for the spend is peanuts and not worth worrying about, it was the 1000 points for spending $30 that I was keen on receiving.

Regarding the Rewards points, the Terry White T's and C's state you earn 3 points per dollar spend (I have 102 points - I spent 33.xx). Then if your account is linked (and mine is), it transfers on conversion date at 3 rewards points for 2 Qantas points, so I'll get 68 QFF points at conversion date, which they state as being the 15th of every month.

I'm starting to think that the the 1k bonus for $30 spend would come through at that same "sweep time". I note my initial 1k points for signing up landed in my QFF account on 17th Feb (Monday), so 15th being a Saturday and overnight processing may be the explanation for the 2 day difference. I also remember seeing others all get their points being at the same time consistent with a sweep.

Those who received the 1k points for spending $30, did the points payment sound consistent with a 15th sweep? I saw somebody paid within 2 days - perhaps they had fortunate timing.

I just did a Qantas wine purchase. Be interested to see when it comes through. From the above, I've seen three differing experiences:
  • Instantaneous (this hasn't happened)
  • Overnight from a Sunday night purchase.
  • 5 days from a Friday night purchase.
TBH, it is more the chase rather than the catch. The Points Club Plus will probably not be of little use over the next 12 months.

Can you believe it. Just received an offer from WOW rewards this morning. Spend $30 in store from tomorrow to receive 2000 WOW points (1000 QFF points) as part of a 2 week offer that nets 6000 WOW points.

I could end up with the target from 3 sources.

I have never bought points because they are poor value and philosophically for a FF a big no no, but there are times when it makes sense. Such as topping up to get an award seat today that won’t be available tomorrow.

It’s bit like cost averaging the purchase of shares.

If you are falling short of a target you will not be just buying 1000 points but getting 350,000 points by a deadline.

This makes the last 1000 worth more to you than their $ cost.

If you achieved 349,000 points through normal activities then their cost is zero and you merely spend $56 to get 350,000. Average cost almost nothing.

Possibly easier than all the complications of buying, for more money, things you may not want or need. Then stressing over the time it takes for the points to come through.

Agree with all that. I investigate that and It will be my last resort.

Yes, and if you are converting directly then the 1K QFF generally shows up a day or three after achieving each 2000 points.
