One very minor query - the 5J seat on the return. Did a FA ever sit in the crew seat in front of you?

Yes, one sat there for take off and landing only.

Sorry for going OT (though I guess TRs often do that) - I recall some earlier threads on whether Row 5 was an exit row with restrictions for who could sit there (age, disability etc) - but the suggestion was that as a crew member would be in the seat it did not have that restriction. When you mentioned 5J thought I'd ask - and should have asked if you had a any emergency/security briefing?

I don't recall any safety briefing, no. But I may have forgotten - sorry not a very definitive answer.
