Those photos are absolutely mind blowing. The water was so clear and the whole thing of being between the two plates was incredible. I didn't see the Facebook hand in any of MrD's photos. Did he decide to dispense with it? :p
Nothing wrong with a Nanna nap. :)
Looking forward to your adventures in the south.

Denali, you guys put so much prep into this experience and it has obviously been wonderful with terrific photos, thanks for sharing. I only looked down into the rift and now I see what’s down there.
Next, black sand beach and glacial lakes?

Great photos and a fantastic experience. Thanks for sharing. Tick that one off!!

I can't believe how clear the water is
So clear that I walked into it without seeing it, if you look at the bottom railing you can see some green algae/water level which is where the water is but even looking at the steps l walked right into the water

So good. Very jealous! That viz, wow.
How deep was the dive?
Didn't go any deeper than 16 metres, they take a lot of nupties who rarely drysuit dive so keep them shallow.

I marked in red the route, it was about 40min dive and only a single fish seen. Walk to entry was about 5mins and walk from exit about 8mins, not much at all for Sydney divers. More snorkellers than divers Snorkellers in Max group of 8, divers Max 4.

FB hand didn't come out of the bag. I think when he realised the cold, equip and gloves he better focus on diving properly and enjoying himself.

Time to warm up now with a coffee and the world's best cinnamon scroll at Braud's Bakery, just down the hill from Hallgrimskirkja.
Walked past it twice yesterday but still not enjoyed its offering so hopefully when we get back as the scrolls look amazing

Yes. Today a stranger we met on the internet will pick us up for two days down the coast. :D

In the morning we sit in the kitchen and while enjoying our corn flakes, although hubby gets eggs and ham on toast today, watch tourists walk their luggage down or up the street to the designated mini bus pick up stops for the airport. The city must have been terrible with buses before the ban as its so enjoyable without them

But I really cannot imagine doing the bus/walk after our 35hrs of travel

Download map here for those interested, Reykjavik City bus pick-up / drop-off

Gorgeous pics! And I’m glad Mr Denali got to keep his face!
