If you are heading to Hon Kong, the Icon Hotel at Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon is highly recommended.

A club room includes an excellent breakfast (buffet or a la carte), morning and afternoon tea, and drinks/canapes at night. The minibar is free (couple of beers, soft drink, water, muesli bars, biscuits, etc) and the bathroom and amenities are excellent. It's only a couple of years old, the rooms are very nice and the Club 36 City View room is fine.

Service is excellent, location good and everything runs very smoothly.

Have to agree wholeheartedly with this. My wife and I stayed there on our last trip to HK. Was very impressed.

I was pretty impressed with this hotel as well. Service and views were very good. And for those interested, there is a good visa agent just across the road. You can get a China visa in 4 hours.

Thanks Pat2065 for the update as we are staying there in June on our way to Nice

I checked into Hotel Icon earlier today and can agree that it is extremely good, especially from a "value for money" perspective. Excellent quality rooms, incredible views, great food, good service, decent location. Right now I am watching the sun set over Victoria Harbour from my room and it is spectacular!

I agree. Great value for money. But yes, the only real downside is the location. It is a bit removed from the action, but they do have a couple of very frequent shuttles to different parts of Kowloon.

Interesting design & they are always very responsive with the younger crewed service :D

Thanks for the tip... some great reviews on Trip Advisor & rated number 3 hotel in HK.

I think the staff are all hotel school trainees but, when I was there, they were all extremely eager to please and went out of their way to help me with anything.
