I'd like to confirm there is such a thing as too much time in the flounge =)

I've fallen asleep on the leather couch in front of the TV in the SYD J lounge and woke up to find a blanket on me and a pillow about to be offered for my head. Very extremely impressed!

I might be going on MEL-HKG on QF late Saturday evening (25th) if flight confirms and would gladly guest you in if you have an evening flight
Simonpenny408,If your flight comes through would you mind Sending me a PM. I'm heading to Hong Kong late Saturday night too. Cheers!

Sorry - fell through - all the flights are chokkers because of ash delays/summer hols in Europe - so unfortunately I am now out of Sydney on Monday morning and will have 2 days less to enjoy in Vietnam

I tend to agree. For me ~2 hours is more than enough time to spend in a lounge.

In saying that though I have spent ~11 hours at LAX and overnighted in the SIN Skyview Lounge a couple of times. Not enjoysble but not much one can do if the desired routing is unavoidable.

I'll confirm with drewbles that after spending another 4.5 hours in the lounge, it is still good.. My only regret was i had to drive so my consumption of the Tattinger was slower than the week before!

With mini nlagalle present I would imagine the Tattinger was less visible. Tell us, did she get to the spa?

It was still visible but not flowing as freely as the weekend before! And no she didn't get a spa treatment!! Hahaha

We tend to arrive about 3½ hours before flight opens. The First check in team are pretty good and say they will check us in when flight opens hand us our boarding cards and express cards, so we can maximise our stay in the lounge. Cant get enough of the Salt and pepper squid and Burgers not to mention the "Boli".
The team up in the lounge in Sydney all know us and we get treated as part of the family, they some how always find us a private room to camp in while one of us has the massage and bring us constant stream of cheese, champagne, and chocolates. God bless you Vanessa, Michael and Miriam.:p

i spent almost 7 whole hours at HKG last night and even visiting the three CX lounges, i will never do this again as its such a huge waste of time! talking about a waste of time, after 12 hours onboard to FRA and now having to spend 5 hrs in transit .. so a 24 hr journey just to get from hkg to hel :(

How did you get 5 hours in the flounge, did you just check-in in Melbourne for both flights or was 5 hours spread across 2 lounges.

You just create a transit period of 5 hrs and check your luggage through the whole way.
