If an australian airline had 772LR's, where do you wish they flew?

Istanbul...!

Turkish Airlines has a great network to cities that many other (decent) airlines don't reach!

Personally I feel that 12-13 hours is the maximum that I would want to be in an aircraft non-stop.

My comfort level in an aircraft is ~5-8 hours so would prefer a stop for longer flights.

I’d have thought the A380 could do SYD-DFW already, but I’m not sure if it’d have enough reserves, plus is there even a market for that? I could certainly see a flight straight into the middle of the US with connections in either direction being a good way of doing things, though similarly I can imagine others would think it’d be a stupid idea :p

Personally I'd like a direct flight to DFW or ORD... getting to a major hub first go would be fantastic...

I don't want to give anyone nightmares but can you imagine doing a flight like this in Y?

I'd love for QANTAS to fly MEL/SYD-DXB. Personally I prefer to have the longer flight first, which is the reason I have usually flown EK to Europe over the past 10 odd years.

No nightmares but do take into consideration that the vast majority of passengers on most flights are in economy and I do not know that many people who would willingly want to sit in economy for that length of flight.

The funny thing is that Emirates have 3 aircraft types already flying that route, A340, A380 and B777.

I think it is pretty well accepted that the absence of commercial flights from Australia to DXB is more out of spite than anything else.
