Unless you have a minder, I don't recommend this. Even with an AF staff member I almost got in to a physical altercation while boarding the plane. Mr Y+ wasn't happy being made to wait.
I doubt Mr Y+ being made to wait annoyed him but more that someone has pushed past by him in a small passageway during the boarding phase. To me, its irrelevant if one has a minder or not, but squeezing past in the cramped aerobridge/doorway legitimately or not, would annoy the heck out of me. And I have had a few flights where I have been escorted right to the plane but I would never consider jumping the boarding queue after the final BP scan. If there's a line in the aerobridge, so be it - as that is my choice for boarding the plane at my own leisure.
