Am about to try a free room night in Sydney at the Intercontinental in Macquarie Street. Have not stayed there for several years but we eat there.
Have a meeting to attend at short notice so I will test the card that arrived yesterday from the US.

Got call offering me renewal for Dining Rewards. Will include 1 night stay voucher, 2 x 25% discount vouchers and 2 x $50 e vouchers for $319. My renewal date is 01/01/16 and my new membership will last from then until 31/12/16

He told me that I can use my 2 $50 vouchers at the same time but I must pay 2 separate bills eg one round of drinks = 1 x $50 voucher next round of drinks = second $50 voucher and that the hotels knew how this should work.

I told him $319 was a bit of a hike from last year and he offered me $289, saying this was as low as he was able to go.

Lol - I paid the $319 like a sucker

Another reminder email offering the same as above.

In my opinion $319 is way too high. Don't think I'd bite at $279 either as I don't stay in Australia that often to make use of the 25% off certificates and I don't want to prepay for overpriced dinner either.

I am in the same situation and keep getting calls everyday. Am being offered $225USD online which is around $310 AUD so not too far from what is being offered. Might accept it for $289. My dates are exactly the same as yours (Renewal)

Well I stayed a night plus I used the $50 dinner voucher and 25% dining discount so this is a local for us.

The way I look at it is the free night and 2 x 25% vouchers cover the cost of the $319.

As such the booze vouchers (are free) and more importantly for me the status bump - have so far resulted in 3 upgrades inc club access in a London CP.

So works out as a no brainer for me

Hi have made a booking using my free night for the end of the month and have noticed my free night now shows as redeemed! Is it deducted when you book as i thought it would be taken at hotel at check in from the physical card as are the dinning vouchers?

Never used the physical voucher myself.

I'm trying to redeem my single free night. The booking system however is allowing multiple consecutive nights to be booked at the free rate. Has anyone done this and was it honoured when you checked in?

Does anyone have any experience as to whether the Dining Rewards discounted rates trigger mrrebates.com (or ebates.com) cashback?

From memory it does if you include the Mrrebates IATA code in the booking.
