I'm currently staying in an Intercontinental that will cross over with the dates for the 2017 Q4/2018 Q1 accelerate offers.

Reservation 1: 26/12-01/02
Reservation 2: 01/01-02/01

Will these stays count towards Q4 or Q1?

Usually it is the day of departure. ie if you stay overnight on NYE and check-out on the 1st Jan it will be Q1 and not Q4

This has to be the worst run major hotel chain. I have had so many problems and emails with both my checking out bill and the points. Without going into all the details...

The check out for the final night stay seemed to register against 2018 Q1. After emailing them, they've advised that the first 6 nights registered against 2017 Q4 and they've given me 3,000 points. However when I go back and check the 2017 Q4 accelerate - it shows 3 offers completed and that I should be entitled to 9,000 points.

This has been such a poor experience compared to Marriott or Accor.

I got the email and registered as I do use IHG sparingly.

Sure enough, first hotel stay of the year was in in SYD (well, Parramatta) on 16 Jan and I generally stay at the HI Parramatta for convenience (to clients), easy walk to train station and Accelerate. Stay completed but stay points hadn't posted before I contacted them on 24 Jan via the "Missing Stay" link, mentioning in the additional details section that I wanted to know if they had triggered the first 2 Accelerate bonus offers. I got a timely response:

Hmmm, I get it coming up as soon as I sign in...



hmmm, even stranger, it's my previous Accelerate program data (September to December)...now that's got me stumped as I'm signed up for the current version.

Okay, deep breath and I remembered:

On the My Account page (which should show up when you've signed in), click on the "Offers" link (top RHS of page)

Then click on RHS link "view offers you've signed up for"



Then you should get a screen like this (and click on the hyperlinked "Accelerate"):



Then you should get something like this:

i know it seems a silly question, but you have registered for this quarters' Accelerate @RooFlyer? If you hadn't then the Accelerate hyperlink surely wouldn't show.

But I'm no expert when it comes to IT, so YMMV
