IHG in Istanbul

I'm on the Wait List for Gallipoli 2015 - with a number well under 850 ( there are 37,900 on the Wait List ).

Anybody got any experience with IHG hotels either in the capital or closer to Gallipoli ?

( Will be waiting to get the confirmation of the tickets, before airfares and hotels, but just looking at possible options now ... )

Just saw your post. We stayed at the IC in July. It is located near Taksim Square. We found we felt left out of the vibe of Istanbul in staying there. The traffic can be horrendous getting to Sultahnamet, where the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace etc are located. The Hotel itself is beautiful. We stayed in a Club room and it was a little stilted - just not as friendly as other Club rooms have been. We were upgraded to suite which was fabulous as MrP is Gold. I have put some pictures of it on our trip report - if you search my name around July you will find it. It is about half way through the TR.

Thanks for your reply Pushka,
I'll hoping for a PB list for April, to include the IC.
If we do go, we'll need to get the timings and travel to the Gallipoli site all worked out.
Just another 430 - odd people in front of me now ... ( double pass from the Govt. )
