Just noticed some accounts with points expiring on May 1. Might be time for some to earn to extend their points life or redeem for either hotels or to convert to QF points.
Don't you just need "activity". Transferring 1000 points from one account to another is, I think possibly an action that keeps both accounts alive. There is a small fee sure, but would seem worth it.Just noticed some accounts with points expiring on May 1. There's a survey company where you can earn IHG points and thus will keep your membership active. Alternatively buy some points or buy a 1000 point ebook. My points are expiring soon, just wondering if someone can guide me to the cheapest redemption so that the rest of the miles are extended for 12 months more
I assume you are referring to E-Rewards (e-Rewards Opinion Panel | Answer surveys, Earn Rewards, Easy.). Note that it takes quite some time to be presented with sufficient surveys to earn enough points to achieve the minimum conversion to IGH rewards points. Expect a month or so to do enough surveys to get enough points to convert. But with time and a little efforts its possible to earn quite a few IHG points this way. There's a survey company where you can earn IHG points and thus will keep your membership active. I don't think that would achieve very much. You could go into one of their hotels and buy something at the bar and show your membership card.
I don't keep a track of the points earned but the past couple of days I have earned ~1000 eRewards points. My biggest problem is leaving surveys for a few days before completing and they expire otherwise I'd be earning a lot more.I started with the e-rewards in Jan and have been pleasantly surprised how many points it has generated
