I'm in the QF Lounge thread

I’m not going to quote a post because I think my question started all of this but I answered it myself.
In Singapore I guested my partners sister into the business lounge, went to the bathroom (so as not to be seen immediately leaving), then left a couple of minutes later and went into the first lounge with my partner. No issues on either end and no questions.

No noodles at the Spice Bar in MEL QF J lounge today.
Bit sad.
So I didn't get anything.
Pork and Sang Choi Bao wrap with rice or similar.

In MEL F lounge soon (around 1:00/1:10pm) until 16:30. Can guest 1. Carol
How is the MEL F lounge? Last time I was there my impression was that it is a bit of a "nook". I will be spending some time there in April and June.

It is smallish, but very nice. The lounge seats are divided into sections so it feels smaller and more private. Excellent tarmac views. There are also desks/work areas and even one meeting room with a glass wall. The dining area is at the far end. The same food and drink menu as Sydney and lovely staff. It was very quiet this afternoon. I certainly enjoyed a good lunch and Champagne before the flight. And a facial! Most likely I was offered a spa treatment only because of the lack of customers, but I’m happy.

Yes, MEL F is much much smaller than SYD, but that has not usually been a problem given F cabins out of MEL (when QF had any) and even OWE demand. Yes I've experienced it busy to nearly full in the mornings, but other times more or less deserted.... it definitely does the job imo. I have had to sit at the restaurant counter once or twice for brekky back when EK had its morning tag to AKL with pax coming in for QF and CX departures ahead of the QF93 to LAX but even then that was more because I didn't want to take a table for just one, and happy to sit up at the bar. it was fine (plus service was great!)

Since it's now basically an OWE (inc QF WP/P1/CL) lounge with no actual QF F pax it's interesting to see if that's changed any aspects of the lounge. I'll be there in Feb ahead of the QF21 :)

It's that or the Business lounge, so will give it a go.

Back on the road in SYD dom for the next little bit

Some real catering enhancements today. Dumplings were decent and little charcuterie plate with cheeses and cold cuts also looked great for this time of day.

Christmas icecreams are still being handed out but that goes against my New Year’s resolution 😝
