I'm in the QF Lounge thread

QF AKL F lounge (cupboard) until I board QF154. No champagne and the usual sausages, potato cakes and mushy eggs. Situation normal.

QF pub in SYD tonight fairly busy. Slight delays across the board due to an hour or so of single runway ops but back to normal parallel ops now. Also quite impressed with the kids corner as have toddler in tow.

I would say that I’m in the OOL lounge but it only opens one hour before QF departures, giving only 40 minutes before boarding. Given the crowd already at the door, I’d say 10 minutes of actual relaxation before boarding.

In Syd international bus lounge. A380 just left , nice and quiet. Good selection of food.

Int'l Business Lounge at Sydney is an absolute zoo this morning thanks primarily to the A380s to both HK (delayed) and LA. Busy pub level noise and virtually nowhere to sit (I got lucky after staking a place at the centre bar and waiting for a table by the windows to open up and swoop in).

It's bleak. I suppose the only positive about never getting to go into the F Lounge is I don't have to suffer the fall back to this. Now the man across from me has seemingly decided to start deleting files on-by-one on his laptop with sound on at full volume. I was this close to asking him if he knows he can mute sound effects on his laptop but fortunately Mr Bose has come to the rescue with noise cancellation.

OK, so I'd lose that bet. Lounge is still kind of bumping despite the heavyweights (e.g. QF1) having well and truly departed.

What's with all the QF3xx series flights? No, they are not all operated by AY.

Also, what's CI and CZ (amongst others) flights doing on the FIDS in the F Lounge?

Charter flights. One is a 787 to the US and the other is an A380 to London via Singapore.
