MEL Business lounge from ~4:00pm-6:00pm.

At the akl "by invitation lounge" right now.

Doesnt seem too bad, kind of like the domestic plat lounge but more peaceful and a nice view of the roofs.

QP ADL have changed the layout of their apple computer locations, now its on the soft stools on the sides.
Middle tables where they used to be are now computerless, and only have the telephones.
Soft stools as in the chairs, not so good to work on, if that is your plan.
Still haven't discovered the location of the QF ADL CL.

Just past the entrance to the QP there is a door recessed a couple of metres from the main walkway. From memory it is frosted glass, with 'Private' on it. I will try to remember to take a photo when I am there in a couple of days.

I will go and take a sneak peak/peep/peak now.
Edit: got as far as I dared, there is indeed a frosted door, and was wide open, there is sort of a curve in the walkway, and has a Christmas tree sitting just inside.

Grr, I don't like the new place where these computers are, the lighting is quite dark, there is no overhead lighting where it is now, RedRoo, if you read this, (I don't dare to complain too widely), but maybe if you do read this...), that the computers should go back to where the phones are.
The undercroft lighting is just not good for "working".

I am in the ADL QP until QF684 boards at about 1355.

I bumped into another AFFer when I arrived, which was a nice surprise.

Corfirmation:
If you have a JQ booking leaving from MEL dom, you can still definitely use the QP where I am at the moment, you might have to chat to the staff at the top of the escalators.
An onerous walk of course between T1 to T4, having the many dom security checks. Not that I am complaining, just saying.
They will say they don't make announcements for JQ flights, but you can still definitely use the MEL dom QP with a JQ flight.
The ham is now chopped into smaller bits, makes it go further.
Chick pea salad, soup, breads, etc all still available.
Only noticed that the ham has been chopped, after I had scooped it into my plate.
Overall, its now similar to the VA the lounge these days.
