I'm in the QF Lounge thread

Please post this in an appropriate thread mods.

As QFF platinum we're eligible to access China Eastern lounges ( even though they are not one world) if travelling on China Eastern. Tried to acces lounge in chengdu without success but was better prepared in Xi'an and produced my iPad with the relevant details downloaded. Had a lovely lounge angel who read English a lot better than she spoke it and told the other staff to let us in...it was the number 1 first class lounge! Actually there are 3 of them at Xi'an and they are all the same! Wonderfully peaceful place to chill and what limited food there was, was good.

So am I, but today, not two days ago. :D

Edit: Yummy green chicken curry on offer - I am already back for seconds.
The green chicken curry was really nice. I just picked out the chicken pieces as the rest was way too spicy for me. Wife loved it and went back for seconds. She also had 4 chicken wings. They looked fried/roasted. She loved these as well. The Qantas club also had the chicken wings.

Nice food on offer and variety from what was on offer earlier in the week.

P.S. The shredded ham for sandwiches looked awful.

Sitting in the ADL QP until about 1430.

Chicken wings and profiteroles*. Yum!

*served separately

Why do they not serve these when I'm in there.

Rather large group I think from China Southern airlines maybe this morning. Lots of hawking going on which was quite unpleasant.

Currently in the bne club. Enjoying the macadamia slice. I won't admit to how many slices I've had. Healthy eating can return tomorrow.

Edit - didn't realise how sweet they were at the time and felt a bit queasy afterwards.
