I'm picking the good lady from MEL tonight after her VA BNE-MEL flight. If all is on time I will be sweet and won't have to wait long, however if it's delayed I may have to pay for parking.

With no anytime access, what is stopping me from going to the MEL lounge, using self-checkin and just killing time there?

I realise that however every time I've used the self-checking kiosk 've just scanned my card and selected how many guests. Unless of course the machine check to see if I have a book in the system...

There's one in Canberra. It's up some stairs which in about 40 degree heat and you can't miss the blue tape on the walls.
