I'm in the VA Lounge thread

In MEL lounge for the next ¾ hour & SYD for 1½ hours from 4:30pm.
Feel like some company? I may head out there later as I am starting to worry about tomorrow's flight SYD-OOL and see if I can change to SYD-BNE instead.

Obviously I have no lounge access as I am not travelling today.

I'm in the BNE lounge until who knows when! Waiting for a 4pm flight delayed until at least 6:10pm!

If anyone is around, sure join me for a beer.

Think it might be nearly time to change the name of this thread..

I am in the SYD lounge. I have been here since ~3:00pm. Could be here a little longer....

I'm in the OOL Lounge now for DJ726

Is it me or are Virgin planes pulling up at gates 5/6 lately? I know it's a first world problem but once I'm full of food I'd much rather have to only walk to the closer gates of 2 and 3.

Wait until you get held up in the waiting room at gate 6 for 10 minutes. Nothing tops of walking from the lounge to the furthest away gate more than waiting in a tiny room with 50 other people.

This issue has been added to the list of things going in my detailed complaint letter to Virgin!

Completely agree, I got to gate 6 and eventually found the priority boarding queue, only to find the queue isn't quite lined up properly, leaving me behind 15 "regular travellers"

Oh well, that's the second (It still kinda worked, 90%) priority boarding fail I've had in two years and 200 flights.

yes. that also happened to me, i just walked around them and got some bad stares in the process. (im not a very big guy. so it was fairly easy).

On a side note, since this is the thread for it. I can guest someone into the SYD lounge tomorrow from about 11:30am - 2:00pm.

I'm in the MEL lounge tomorrow (Tue) afternoon. On the 5:30pm to PER. My 1st Coast to Coast J flight and my first flight for the year - then back on the road every week or two for as far as the eye can see. Sigh.

Was in MEL lounge earlier today. Free 100gm Toblerones - will enjoy one in my hotel room tonight. Diet? What diet? (Febfast will balance it out ...I hope)

Thank you for the warm welcome Ms J. Sadly the 100gms didn't last very long. Hopefully the second one that I swiped for tomorrow night's snack lasts a little longer :)

Re: Purpose of a Virgin Lounge thread

In the PER lounge now, waiting for the redeye across to Sydney.

Re: Purpose of a Virgin Lounge thread

Upstairs at SYD enjoying the view for the next 90 minutes. Looks like hot dogs for dinner today.

Re: Purpose of a Virgin Lounge thread

^^^ Ha Mackey! Hot dogs for dinner.... everyday.

I'm pretty new to the lounge so figuring it all out. Does the menu change much from pancakes breakfast & hot dogs dinner?

Re: Purpose of a Virgin Lounge thread

I'll be in the Sydney lounge 1600-1800 tomorrow 15 Feb between flights, and happy to share a beer & story with a fellow AFFer if anyone is in there then...And maybe score a hotdog as I never seem to get anything but a curry!
