SYD domestic for next 30-45 mins. Taking advantage of arrival access on a slow Sunday for a change. Can guest.

BNE lounge next 40 minutes or so waiting wife and daughter.

Funny story. Booked wife and daughter on next flight as the fares on my flight were ridiculous and there was business award availability on next flight. There was only 1 person in business class on my flight so why no award availability when I booked? Stupid yield management.

My SQ flight delayed ~40 minutes this morning (anyone surprised) then waited over an hour for dad to pick me up as mum misunderstood that I was ready to be picked up with first phone call as I had hand luggage only and she is waiting for second call. Got to airport at 3:28pm which was enough time for my flight as I was checked in already and check-in lady was going to try and move wife and daughter to my flight but check-in cut off closed with 2 suitcases.

And no hot food in SYD or BNE lounges this afternoon. Seriously?

Great to catch up with Buzz in the Virgin lounge this evening.

My flight was later than his but mine got called first.

How to find an AFFer, go to the bar and work your way out from there.

And the pies that were being served were good as well.



Now why don't they serve something similar like that in economy for the evening flights.

Bundy Bear, I love that you took the trouble to seek out a new friend. Sadly, your comment regarding the pies remains one of Life's Unsolved Mysteries and I don't understand why more corporations don't heed the bleeding obvious.

We are corporate sponsors of a major Sydney NRL team. It's great to have excellent seats and other associated perks like watching the team warm up, but the fancy dining does nothing to impress. All we want is a nice dog's eye or an excellent sausage sandwich. Slow braised grain fed organic beef on stone baked rye with red wine jus.............What The?

I think the same goes for flying Business Class on an airline or at a Lounge. Keep it simple, but well made and you will have me for life.
