I'm in the VA Lounge thread

SYD lounge until ~6:15pm.

Can't even enjoy the lounge. Thanks for the seat downgrade Virgin.

Sitting in Melbourne trying to relax but alas noisy kids and service trolleys makes that quite difficult....

I've noticed more and more recently how noise travels so quickly through the Melb lounge and that it isn't really a calming environment.

In this case I'd pick the QP in Melb is it wins on most fronts and as an added bonus probably has some real food offerings atm.

I was in the MEL VA lounge yesterday afternoon and it was great! Not very busy and there was a staff member walking around topping up glasses and chatting with everyone... turned out he was a FA on light duties (hence his excellent customer service).. He was a real asset to the team and well done VA :)

ADL residents flying VA ( - booked directly with (Air) NZ - linking to an NZ flight via SYD and MEL to NZ) get VA the Lounge access in ADL.
Flying NZ direct from ADL to AKL get QP ADL access.

I found a liking for smoothies in a cup though.
But thanks for the tip about juicer in MELd QP.
Didnt know that.
Got through MELi incoming immigration without a hitch.
Having an Australian passport is great, seeing the queues for foreign passport holders.

If my writing is that bad again, its because I was on an ipod at AKL Koru Club. Nzd$55 for about 1.5 hours food and drink, and free wifi, ... cant complain, but not as good as the SKLounge at SYD now that I have tried it!
Nice views out the windows, I didnt have a lot of time to open all the bain marie covers to inspect what was available, ... smallish chicken boneless drumsticks sort of thing, mini pies and mini pasties, fruit, ...
If VA PER lounge was like SYD SKLounge, I would be so happy to pay the annual subscription, no matter if the food wasnt to die for.
I love my runway views, narrow minded as it is.
Ok, anyway, enough of that, as you were, guys and gals.

BNE Lounge from 9:25 til 10:45am this morning....

Bonus points for VA if I sight special Valentines Day Chocolates in The Lounge; Or at the very least some roses for decorations (I reiterate, bonus - I'm not expecting much after my evening spent on Christmas Day!)

Brissie lounge chockers. No spare seats. Many damp flyers. Creeks and rivulets around the airport overflowing. Wet weekend ahead.
