I'm in the VA Lounge thread

I was travelling on Link with a VA codeshare. Given a non pleasant welcome and a abruptly told that the boards won’t show my flight details because ‘there is no partnership’.
That's strange, as I've been in the BNE lounge previously when Link flights have been called (although can't recall if they were on the board or not).

A bit off topic but when travelling link on a VA codeshare is it possible to use the link website to check in online?

My corporate TA keeps saying Link flights with a VA code can't be checked in online so there is no point.

I checked in online but did it via the link website. Boarding passes added to my Apple Wallet but they showed Fly Corporate flight numbers. Entry to the lounge worked by both scanning the boarding pass or my Velocity card.

In BNE for the next 40 minutes, can guest 3.
Breakfast on offer is scrambled eggs, sausage, baked beans, and the coffee queue is currently 15+ long 😑

In brisbane now looking to see if anyone can guest my sister and nieces. Lots of delays, was told at the front desk that they are stopping the alliance and buying their own planes for regional flights!

In the SYD lounge and for the first time in my experience a customer service manager walked the lounge wishing everyone a good morning/great day/enjoy your breakfast! Wasn't sure what it was about. Ten minutes later she led a group of what I assume were new employees around the lounge. They were all in uniform.

BNE lounge atm, and they're serving Indian samosas ... with bbq sauce 🤣 (no I asked, nothing else available)
And people are having it! 😔

I was at the MEL lounge earlier today and noticed this sign at the entrance, although it wasn’t even that busy!

I wonder how they limit access… do they turn away those trying to access the lounge on arrival? Partner airline status holders?
