Dont know about you but egg sandwiches and pressurised cabins are not good combos IMHO :lol:. I suppose it could be worse, baked beans anybody?
I find the protein in the egg keeps the hunger at bay for hours. But yes, I do know what you mean.;)

As stated on the Web Site, no, vouchers can notbe used inflight or at other airports.
Correct.
But there's no reason why you can't spend the whole $20 and plan ahead and take something onboard.
I spent the whole $20 and took the bottle of water and the muffin onboard and drank the coffee and ate the sandwich before boarding.

Quick question: I'm flying QF BNE-SYD (in Y!) and want to use the DJ lounge with my priority pass.

If the lounge is not at capacity, do you think they would let me in - or, would I still not be considered a "eligible guest"?

For the last 10 weeks, I've been using the DJ lounge in BNE with my Priority Pass usually twice a week. I have never been asked which airline I'm flying, though admittedly by now, the DJ lounge staff pretty much know me by name.

You'd be allowed to, but the temporary lounge is so small at the moment it is reaching capacity pretty fast. PP guests are the first to be turned away, before Lounge members/Gold FFs (who would be given vouchers instead).

To be honest, I would have rather had vouchers provided last night, as the food on offer was appalling.

With the vouchers, what happens if you want to have a few beers before your flight. Obviously the outlet is not going to give cash as change for an $8 beer on a $10 voucher. If you want to have, say, three beers at $8 each (I'm going by my favourite Coopers Red at PJ O'Briens) it would be ludicrous to have to buy all three at once and pay the $4 difference.
The only time I have used the vouchers was at Hudsons Coffee and the total bill came to $19.30 so obviously there was no problem.

Put a credit card behind the bar and do a tab, then pay with vouchers?

I went to fly bar and bought about $12 worth of stuff. When I handed over the vouchers the guy said that I wouldn't get any change. I thanked him, and told him I was aware but I was set. He said, if I wanted another coffee or drink I could buy it now with the coupons and he would bring it over/make it when I asked. They are pretty accommodating, and sure they wouldn't mind if you asked for three beers, and to pay upfront and collect them when ready.

If they are busy - the tab thing is a great idea.

I have a different question regarding Priority Pass: During lounge closure, are PP members considered 'eligible guests'. IE: Are they also entitled to any vouchers? My guess is not, but it doesn't hurt to ask...

He won't like that ;)

Now, now...

Could have said May 11th at precisely 7.13am with Marianne Johnson, a long-time Virgin employee (who is a Capricorn and likes horse-riding) the first to open the door - and there would still be information lacking! ;)

Of course - this is said with love!

With no disrespect for Ms. Johnson, I'd prefer Marianne Faithfull :D.

(now I'm showing my age )
