Important: Your booking to the USA is not yet complete

I received the same email back in January for my trip from Australia to Fiji.
I just ignored it as I knew I was not traveling to the US.
Did think it was strange to get the email though, and the booking was made online using CC for payment.
 
Yesterday I logged into view a BNE-SYD booking and it came up "You must show your credit card at the local Hong Kong office before you fly". Had a few lols.

I wondered if you would mind PMing your FF# and/or PNR. I can then investigate a little further and see if you have won a flight to the US :)

I lol'd - I thought to myself.. Imagine if when you went to board the crew said "EXCUSE ME - you did NOT show your credit card in Hong Kong so you cannot fly... we sent you a reminder" = boarding denied.

There was a little movie in my head to go along with it. Quite entertaining. Thanks!

I just got another one of these as well. One way flight booked using a voucher but the extra dummy segment is not showing in check my trip or the My Flights app. I thought it might have been a scam email.

I received one email over Christmas when one of my vouchers was created incorrectly as GIF-VCH, which of course necessitated a flight from the US ;) it's automated, probably relates to a voucher you have (or have had as they sometimes stick around for longer than they should).

This voucher appears to be one of my OOL-SYD returns and the travel has not yet started.

I was hoping QF would have fixed this bug by now but obviously many more important things to fix first.
