Inconsistent/Poor QF Business Class Treatment out of Bangkok

Presumably there’s a limited number of each serve. So telling someone they’re run out before going to sleep is better than serving them what’s leftover as a surprise?
Lmao I’m talking about being chased for the card before the flight has departed? I’m saying collect an hour after departure and be chill about it as opposed to asking me 4 times within 6 seconds of boarding the flight.

After flying SYD to BKK and back for so long, I’m treating myself to a month in rome. Finnair in J from BKK - FCO via Helsinki. All I can say is what a great experience.

A few comments from the staff here
Would you like dinner early?
Would you like a sandwich?
Want to try the other wines?
Would you like a second dinner, snacks?
Is there anything else I can get you?

Its not rocket science. The staff are just happy in their job where the Qantas crew seem to just want to get their duties done and get home. I know this doesn’t represent all the flight attendants as a couple I spoke to frequent this forum so please don’t feel too bad if you are reading this and work on that route.

What a shame.

Finnish crew? Or Thai crew?

All Finnish bar 1 who actually I thought was not Thai but was fluent with the plethora of sub 5 foot cute 30 something Thai girls occupying 5k AUD seats lol (Unless they churn cards and buy several thousand in wine for bonus points which I’m doubting)

Add a finnish rye whisky and Bloody Mary to the great experience today

I have been told QF crew don’t like the BKK rotation
Interesting - I wonder why that is? I would've thought it would be a highly sought-after destination.

OTOH, I have heard that the India flights are the least favourite. After seeing the state of the Economy toilets not even halfway through the daytime flight to Delhi, I'm not surprised...

Ah the memories of QF69 in May.

Is it something specific about BKK (the airport or city) or is it generally the Asia A330 trips which tend to be a 24 hour layover and always overnight on the way back?

Apparently because of the pax. To be fair, some flights I've been on have had large groups of very drunk men board.

One CSM once said to me "Don't worry, they'll pass out pretty soon..."

My last flight everyone was very well behaved, though.

Why does QF make their J customers do paperwork ie. completing the breakfast card?

Just completed multiple legs on QR where they politely take your order for dinner/supper and breakfast in one go - done. Easy! Every single time.

That also upset the crew on my coughpy BKK flight. You just reminded me. Had also previously done numerous QR sectors and as the qantas crew came around and asked if I’d like I drink after take off I had for nerve to ask what Shiraz they had. Copped an eye roll, an “I don’t know, I suppose you expect me to check” and then a storm off. They don’t like it when you step outside of the playbook!

I don't see a problem with completing a breakfast card - I don't think it's that difficult to spend literally 1-2 minutes completing the card once you've settled into your seat.

I'll be the first to admit - I take a lot of photos / videos of my business class seat once I board, whenever I have them (have only had around 5 or so), but a little bit of paperwork won't get me worked up.

Would be nice however if you can choose your breakfast choices via the IFE rather than pen to paper.

I'll be on a night / overnight flight on QF (SIN > MEL) next month in business, I'll report back on what my experience will be like.

Sums up everything wrong about Qantas service and the service culture in Australia generally.
