Interesting New DJ Paint Scheme

What an excellent marketing ploy by DJ, I for one am checking up all the time to see what they come up with. One thing I have come to expect= The unexpected, I think we will all be surprised.:)

I'm happy to wait until someone posts it here, don't forget where you saw it first - here on AFF. :D

Perhaps you mean : How interesting....No [insert new branding] Logo on the tail or if you were cheeky, how interesting....No AirNZ Logo on the tail :lol:

Not so sure about the NZ logo but there's something missing.

My gut feeling is that there is a delay in the announcement of re-branding and these birds were meant to have the new livery so as an interim measure, and never one to live down marketing, DJ just did one up in AFL colours to promote their contract.

Call me sceptical, if you will ;)

Forget AFF bagtags, we should have thought bigger and approached DJ for an AFF 737 paint job (or big stickers). Would have made a handy aircraft this weekend ;)

A white e190 arrives this week, while VUZ gets sticker-ed tonight with the new GC Suns logo assuming she is not required to fly somewhere today as the nominated operational spare.

I hope that people don't get it confused with Sunstate Airlines.:p:mrgreen:.
(BTW I like it too)

An oz-spotters member is reporting that the new livery will be introduced on the 28th of this month and the tip apparently is that the name will be V-Australia for the whole fleet-we shall see.

Cheers

Interesting, wonder which livery they would keep.

VA is a copy of QF with a dash of AN. Would be a bit boring having the two major airline carriers looking so similar.

DJ is at least distinctive v QF - the only cheap thing is flying billboard look but I bet they lose the website etc.

I have some suspicions that the Virgin name is going - the fact they have left the 'Virgin' off the tails of newer aircraft is a bit suss!

My thoughts exactly. It will be interesting to see how quickly they are able to roll it all out once the announcements have been made.

And all the aircraft I have been on recently both new and old have had the Virgin part inside removed on the bulkhead at the front.

Yes, the virgin name is gone, however, the BLUE is still there. Makes me think maybe the blue bit will stay on in some form.
Also, new ERJ190 is on its way- no hints there either.
Cant post the link because I have under ten posts but go to airliners dot net and look up dj erj190

I have noticed this for the last 2 years...thought it was more to do with using these rogue aircraft across Virgin and Pacific Blue routes

I thought this was the rationale as well. Maybe also as a positioning tool when they were negotiating with Sir D!ck regarding a potential new name?
