Interlining through Dubai

I have an upcoming trip to the wonderful land of Bahrain. I'm travelling SIN-DXB on SQ and then have a Gulfair flight to BAH.

Does anyone know if I will need to clear customs in DXB in order to collect my bags that have come in on SQ to check-in on GF.

Also in reverse, checking in on GF will they check it through to SIN or once again will I need to clear customs in DXB to collect and recheck bags.

I posted this question over at Transiting DXB from SQ to Gulfair - FlyerTalk Forums.

The answer was that upon arrival at the SQ check-in I would be able to check my bags through to BAH via DXB. I would have to arrange my own checkin on the Gulfair flight. Similar on my return, GF can check my bags to through DXB back to SIN.

Degree of complexity is now so much easier.
