We will be flying back from Tokyo on Qantas in a couple of days.

One souvenir the boss has picked up is a cast iron teapot. Anyone know if that would be a problem going through security?

Thanks.

All you'll need is the camping stove and you'll be able to make a decent cup of tea on-board :). I've had 2 large frying pans in my carry-on domestically and 10 kg stone sculptures internationally and never had a problem.

As long you don try and sneak it in your pocket you will be fine.

I generally travel with Camp ovens in my HL as It might have a bit of warm stew for the flight.

No problems from Japan. They are used to tourists buying those tea pots.Heavy though aren't they.

Thanks for all the replies - I think!

They are heavy, but we're on business class, so should be OK.

Cheers!
